Who runs this site

This website, mosteksolutions.xyz, including MosTek Insights, is run by MosTek Solutions Inc., B3737 Prof. Mills HWY, Ho, Volta Region, Ghana.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to understand how visitors find and use this site, so we can improve its content and our services. We do not use it for advertising.

What Google receives: the page you view (with most link details removed) and the page you came from; your browser, device type, screen size and language; your approximate location (country and city, worked out from your IP address); and how you use the site: scrolling, searches on this site, starting a form, and clicks on links that leave it or open a file such as a PDF. Google states that Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses.

This information is pseudonymous, not anonymous: it is linked to a random identifier kept in your browser, not to your name.

What we do not do:

• We don’t use Google’s advertising features, Google signals or ad personalisation.
• We don’t send Google your name, email address, phone number or messages. A search on this site that contains an email address or a phone number isn’t measured.
• The Book a demo form prepares your message in your browser and opens WhatsApp or your email app. Its contents are not sent to Google Analytics, and this site doesn’t store them.

Where Google Analytics isn’t used: if you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, or the site can’t tell which country you’re in, Google Analytics isn’t loaded and nothing is sent to Google. Your country is worked out from your connection after the page has loaded and isn’t stored; only the answer (measure or not) is kept in your browser until you close the tab. If you use a VPN, the country is the VPN’s.

How long it is kept: Google Analytics keeps this data for 14 months, then deletes it. Google may process it outside Ghana, including in the United States.

MosTek Insights: view counts and feedback

View counts: when you open an article on MosTek Insights, your browser tells this site that the article was viewed, so we can see which articles are read. Only the article and the time are stored, with Supabase: not your IP address, browser, device or any identifier, and nothing is stored in your browser for it. A reload counts as another view.

Your browser doesn’t send view counts if you turn analytics off (below), or if it sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.

“Was this useful?” If you answer at the end of an article, we store your answer (yes or no), the article, the time and any note you choose to write, with Supabase. Your name and IP address are not stored with them. Please don’t put personal details in a note.

Only MosTek staff can read view counts, answers and notes; they are never shown on the site. To stop one visitor sending too many, the site briefly checks your IP address in memory, without storing it.

How long it is kept: until the article is deleted, unless we delete it sooner.

Your choices

Your choice is kept only in this browser, and applies to every page of this site, including MosTek Insights and any of its pages already open in other tabs. Clearing this site’s data in your browser resets it.

Turning analytics off also stops this browser from sending view counts for MosTek Insights articles.

Browsers that send Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track are never measured.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

Cookies and browser storage

• _ga and _ga_0SFP7GD1JX (cookies, set by Google Analytics where it runs): a random identifier that tells return visits apart, and the state of your current visit. Kept for up to 2 years, or until you turn analytics off or delete them.
• analytics-opt-out (browser storage, this site): remembers that you turned analytics off. Kept until you turn it back on or clear this site’s data.
• analytics-region (session storage, this site): whether analytics may run in this tab, so your country is checked only once. Deleted when you close the tab.
• theme and insights-text-scale (browser storage, this site): your light or dark theme, and your text size on MosTek Insights.
• insights-feedback (browser storage, this site): which articles you’ve answered “Was this useful?” for, so you aren’t asked again. Only the articles’ ids, never your answers. Kept until you clear this site’s data.

The site’s private admin area uses sign-in cookies for authorised MosTek staff only; visitors never receive them.

Other services

• Hosting: the site is served by Vercel, which processes technical details of each request, such as your IP address and browser, to deliver and protect it.
• MosTek Insights: articles and images are stored with Supabase. Your browser may load some images directly from Supabase’s servers.
• Videos: a video’s player loads from YouTube only when you press Play, in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode; from then on Google’s Privacy Policy applies. Thumbnails are served by this site, though some may load from YouTube’s image servers.
• Sharing and contact: the share buttons and WhatsApp links take you to Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp or your email app only when you choose them, and those services’ own policies then apply (for example WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy). We use the messages you send us to reply to you and to provide the services you ask about.
• Fonts are served by this site, not by Google Fonts or any other outside service.

Your rights

Under Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and other laws that may apply to you, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it or to stop processing it. Write to info@mosteksolutions.xyz.

Analytics data is linked only to a random identifier, so to find yours we may ask for details such as the date of your visit and the pages you viewed.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice, the date at the top of this page changes too.
